 CoroBot was created to minimize the complexity of robot development.
Equipped with a PC-class CPU, CoroBot features expansive program storage
space and CPU capacity to run additional software. CoroBot’s design
assists the software developer by providing Microsoft Robotics Studio
services for all provided hardware devices on the Windows models and
Player support for the Linux models. It also assists the hardware
developer with additional physical mounting space, communication, and
electrical inputs and outputs. Designed from the ground up with your
needs in mind, CoroBot provides the capability, expandability, and
affordability you want to meet your specific needs and requirements. |

 EXPANDABLE
Robot consumers often require features that go beyond what is
provided by the manufacturer. CoroBot has an open-ended design allowing
you to significantly extend its capabilities. CoroBot’s top deck
provides ample mounting space for additional hardware components such as
GPS, laser range finder, environmental sensors, and more. Interfacing to
these added devices is made simple due to extra USB ports, I2C port,
RS-232 serial port, 8 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs and 4 analog
inputs. Open physical design allows easy access to connectors. CoroBot’s
processor is powerful enough to run additional user software. Supporting
a 40GB disk drive, CoroBot has plenty of space to store data files,
programs, source code etc. |

 CAPABLE
The Windows version of CoroBot is provided with Microsoft Robotics
Studio services for all onboard devices as well as a teleoperation
application to operate your CoroBot right out of the box. The Linux
version of CoroBot is provided with Player support for all onboard
devices and playerv and playercam allow teleoperation right out of the
box. In both cases the drivers and applications are provided in both
source and executable form allowing for immediate usage as well as
modifications and enhancements by the owner. CoroBot's camera, wheel
encoders, and IR sensors enable your robot to examine the environment,
and the optional 4 degree of freedom arm with gripper sensor enables
your robot to easily interact with the environment. Want to add
autonomy? CoroBot’s processer has the room to handle localization and
mapping algorithms, path planning, vision processing, learning
algorithms and more. Rather than being limited by flash memory space
CoroBot provides ample disk space to store maps, log files, learning
databases and more. |

AFFORDABLE
CoroBot offers a combination of features at a price lower than anyone
else in the industry. This price difference becomes even more
significant when multiple CoroBots are needed for activities such as
swarming or classroom activities. |

JAUS
The Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) is a DoD standard to
promote interoperability of unmanned systems. The available JAUS
protocol provides industry standard access to all devices and features. |
