Robotics Connection Serializer
|
|
The Robotics Connection product line is based around their Serializer .NET Robot Controller, the most robust PC
based controller on the market. The Serializer line of products are the choice for experimenters looking to bridge the gap
between computer programming and robotics. This comprehensive robotics system is aimed towards developers, providing a .NET library API as well as
integration into the Microsoft Robotics Studio. If you are an educator, the modular design of this system allows you to start your class off with the basics and
continually expand, creating a more challenging and complex robotics project as your students progress.

Five serial interfaces to choose from
|
The new Serializer WL™ is the second generation of the Serializer. It has been updated to allow customers to use choose from five different serial interfaces (four are interchangeable). The pluggable interface modules include RS-232 (Included with Serializer), USB, Bluetooth, or ZigBee (MaxStream XBee of XBee Pro). The TTL serial port is built into the base Serializer board.

The RangeWizard has the ability to query up to 10 sonar sensors, and 6 analog senors. The sonar modules can be
the single control line type like the Parallax Ping, or the trigger/echo type like the Max Sonar EZ line.
The RangeWizard takes care of all of the timing, and can report the readings in microseconds, inches, or
centimeters.
The analog lines can be used for any 5V analog senor like the Sharp line of infrared sensors.

Robotics Connections Robot Kits are designed using precision laser cut aluminum, and feature commercial powder coated and/or anodized finishes for lasting durability. They are extra rugged, and designed for classroom use. These prepared kits allow more time for enthusiasts to develop intelligent software (such as vision recognition & navigation, or localization and mapping).
The Stinger Robot Kit was designed to appeal to the entry-level robotic enthusiast. This is an excellent starter kit, which can grow as the user's expertise grows. This all new design allows the builder to increase the capabilities by adding on components such as a Serializer with Bluetooth, sensors, cameras, and many other accessories without having to upgrade to a new platform.
The Traxster Robot Kit was designed to be used as an indoor educational robotics kit. It can easily maneuver through carpet and other types of flooring, as well as traverse over small obstacles. The Traxster's skid-steer drive tracks enables it to spin around center. |
