The Grove Line Finder is designed for line following robots. It consists two parts - an IR emitting LED and an IR sensitive phototransistor.
It outputs a digital signal to a microcontroller so the robot can reliably follow a black line on a white background, or vice versa.
This Line finder even has an indicator LED and adjustable range.
