Features
  • Fully assembled and controlled by 20 small servos, RPU-11 Processing Unit and RRC-T11 controller
  • RPU-11 Processing Unit with rotary switch to change modes; such as Edit Mode (to make and edit motions with Motion Editor) Automatic Mode (to play a pre-programmed demo performance) Operating Mode (to control robot with wireless controller) and much more.
  • Tri-Axial Acceleration Sensor allows robot to sense its own motion and angle of orientation.  For example, the robot can tell when it has fallen and automatically stand up.
  • 3D CG Motion Editor software lets you view robot motions on a Windows PC.  Motions can be created by dragging appendages around with the mouse cursor, or by inputting servo angles numerically.  No programming necessary.  Various settings allow you to determine the behavior depending on sensor inputs and remote control keys. Basic motions, such as walking and punching, are pre-programmed into the Motion Editor.  These pre-programmed sequences can be edited, or new ones can be created from scratch.
  • Eleven RS301CR high torque metal gear servos control mainly leg movement
  • Nine lightweight RS302CD servos control upper body movement
  • Playstation-style game pad controller with wireless 2.4GHz technology can be "paired" to the robot so that instructions from other controllers won't interfere.  Up to 16 controllers can be used in the same vicinity.

[RS232C Connector]
This connector is used for connecting PC and RPU-11 with a special cable.

[RS485 Connector]
This is used for connecting the main hub of RBT-1 with RPU-11.

[Connector for Receiver]
This is used for connecting the receiver of RPU-11.

[Connector for LED]
This is used for connecting the LED unit (eyes of RBT-1).

[Connector for Gyro]
This is used for connecting a two-axis gyro for RPU-11, which is under development.

[LEDs for Power/Monitor]
The LED for Power lights green when the power is supplied to RPU-11.
The LED for Monitor lights when RPU-11 starts or the Start/Stop switch is pressed.

[Buzzer]
The buzzer sounds when RPU-11 starts or the Start/Stop switch is pressed.
The buzzer also sounds while the robot is in motion if you set it to sound for particular movements when you make commands with the motion editor.

[G Sensor]
A three-axis G sensor is installed on the substrate of RPU-11.

[Start/Stop Switch]
When this switch is pressed, the torque of all servos is immediately turned off.  After this, RPU-11 reactivates if you press and hold the switch for three seconds.
