The PhantomX Pincher AX-12 Robot Arm is a 5 degree-of-freedom robotic arm and an easy addition to the TurtleBot ROS robot platform. This hardware kit comes with everything needed to physically assemble and mount the arm as a standalone unit or as an addition to your Turtlebot Robot/mobile platform.

Vanadium Labs has developed an ROS stack that makes communication with the robotic arm a breeze. Want to have your TurtleBot interacting with the environment and picking up small objects in no time? This is the perfect kit for you!

Works extremely well

For this price the arm does everything very well - very accurate and repeatable (at least +/- 2mm from my testing). I have not tested how much it can lift. This is now supported in ROS with: https://github.com/corb555/arbotix_ros and https://github.com/corot/turtlebot_arm. The base is too small to adequately support the arm, but its fine if the base is mounted to something else. High quality plastic and finish for everything except the gripper, which is cheap plastic. Had to sand the gripper base because it did not slide freely.

See demo at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzGdnGchlTI
