The PhantomX Basic Gripper is a simple and easy-to-build solution for roboticists looking to pick up small objects. The Basic Gripper is a single-side actuating manipulator; keeping size, weight, and cost to a minimum and making it perfect for simple applications. Ideal for picking up small, lightweight objects such as sugar cubes, marbles, Legos, eyeballs, and very small badgers. It employs a full featured AX series Dynamixel and is easily mounted to a hexapod, biped, or robot arm. Optional foam tips ensure you won't crush your foes beneath the force of your very awesome robot muscles, err, actuators. Get grabbin'!
Bonus feature: Dynamixels can be queried give a 'Present Load' parameter so that users can detect when an object is grasped.
Note: The PhantomX Basic Gripper does not ship with an AX-12A Actuator by default, which is required for assembly. Please refer to the drop-down menu in the upper right to add a servo to your kit.
