What are Phidgets?

Phidgets are an easy to use set of building blocks for low cost sensing and control from your PC. Using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) as the basis for all Phidgets, the complexity is managed behind an easy to use and robust Application Programming Interface (API). Applications can be developed quickly in any Microsoft .NET language, Flash, Visual Basic, VBA (Microsoft Access and Excel), LabView, Java, C, C++, and more!

Getting Started with Phidgets

All users should start by downloading and installing the latest Phidget libraries and the API for the programming language to be used. The necessary files can be found in the manufacturer's download section.

Phidgets Downloads:
- Select your operating system.
- For Windows users, download and run "Phidgets.msi" to install the latest Phidgets libraries.
- Download code examples and API manuals for the programming language of your choice.
