Laser Assembly Guide
 




Tools Needed

  • soldering iron
  • solder
  • Electricians tape or shrink tubing
  • scissors / wire cutter




Solder the jumper cable ends to the laser module
 
Your laser module comes with a 1-pin jumper cable. We are going to cut this in half and solder it to the laser wire leads to make it easy to plug the laser into controllers.

On the laser the RED wire is SIGNAL (Positive) and the WHITE is GROUND.






Proper Wiring
 
All the demo projects which use the laser & MosquitIO will have the laser on D1. Plug the correct wire leads in as shown.

 
All the demo projects which use the laser & arbotiX will have the laser on D2. Plug the correct wire leads in as shown. (D1 is reserved for the onboard LED)






Mounting
 
If you are using the laser with a camera you can mount it to the side of the Robot Turret as shown. You can attach the laser how ever you feel is best for your application using tape, glue, velcro, etc.

If you are not using a camera and have your Robot Turret bracket built facing up you can mount the laser on the side or the top of the bracket.
