Assembly Tips

ASSEMBLY TIP: Using Turbo Lock
 
ASSEMBLY TIP: Assemble in the Correct Order
Make note of the servo IDs, positions, and horn applications. Each servo has a # written on the back of it. Be sure you assemble the servos in the correct order so that your turet will work!



Horn Installation

Mount the HN05-N102 Servo Horn to MX-28 ID # 1 (Pan) using a Hex Socket Head M3 x 8mm bolt. NOTE: there is a plastic washer that you will place between the horn and the servo.
Mount the HN05-N102 Servo Horn to MX-28 ID # 2 (Tilt) using a Hex Socket Head M3 x 8mm bolt. NOTE: there is a plastic washer that you will place between the horn and the servo.
 
Mount the passive hub on the back of the ID # 2 (Tilt) Servo using a Hex Socket Head M3 x 8mm bolt.

Arbotix Wiring

Assemble the top of the turrest as shown below. Begin this step by attaching the FR07-S101K to the bottom assembly. Make sure that the servo ID # 2 (Tilt) is used for the top assembly.
 

Bottom Assembly

Assemble the bottom of the turrest as shown below. Make sure that the servo ID # 1 (Pan) is used for the bottom assembly.
 

Top Assembly

Assemble the top of the turrest as shown below. Begin this step by attaching the FR07-S101K to the bottom assembly. Make sure that the servo ID # 2 (Tilt) is used for the top assembly.
 

Servo Wiring

Connect one 3-pin cable from Servo ID # 2(Tilt) to Servo ID # 1 (Pan). Connect the second 3-pin cable from the second port on Servo ID # 1 to the Arbotix Robocontroller. This cable can be plugged into any of the three 3-pin ports.
