NOTE: This turret does not include the CMUcam2+, servos, or any of
the sensors. This turret will not work on the original CMUcam
or CMUcam2.
This Anodized Aluminum Pan and Tilt Turret Kit is
the perfect accessory to the CMUcam2+ (Acroname's version).
This rugged and universal turret assembles in minutes, and allows your CMUcam2+
to pan left to right, and up and down for a greater range of visibility.
All you have to supply are the standard sized servos.
It also featuers a "Sensor Shell", which sits in front of the CMUcam2+ to
allow you to mount popular robotic sensors to improve your robots vision
capabilities. The turret supports the following sensors, in
addition to the CMUcam2+:
- Devantech SRF04, SRF05, SRF08, SRF10 sonars, and TPA81 (Thermopile)
- Sharp GP2D12, GP2D120, GP2D15, GP2D02, GP2Y0A21YK, GP2Y0A02YK, GP2Y0D02YK
The CMUcam2+ Turret can tilt 45+ degrees up and 45+ degrees down (see
diagram below).
The pan ability of the turret is only limited to the sweep of your servo,
which is typically around 180 degrees.
This turret combo includes all stainless steel hardware, the tilt linkage
(to attach it to any standard servo horn and servo), hardware to attach
the CMUcam2+ to the turret, and rubber grommets to mount 3 SRF10 sonars.
The servo which controls "tilt" is attached using the included double sided
servo tape. All that is required for assembly is a small phillips
head screwdriver.
