Temperature sensor

This sensor measures ambient temperature from -40 to +125 degrees Celsius (-40 to 257 Fahrenheit). This device is a precision temperature to voltage converter that outputs a voltage that is directly porportional to temperature.

The PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 measures 1000 steps between 0 and 5V. Or, one unit for the SensorValue equals 5mV (0.005V). To determine the measured voltage take the SensorValue and multiply by 5mV.

Details on the main sensor on this board can be found in the PDF file below. This sensor includes an amplifier with a gain of 2. This is why there is a multiplier of 2 compared to the equation found in the PDF.

This product is part of the Phidgets family!
Phidgets are an easy to use set of USB-based building blocks for low cost sensing and control from your PC. A wide array of sensors, I/O devices, and controllers are available.
