The Trossen1 was designed as a flexible workhorse platform. The platform
is propelled by a dual-motor differential drive system. The chain-driven
wheels are supported by steel axles and heavy-duty bearings. Able to carry
a 30 lb payload without any decrease in speed, this is the perfect platform
for a wide variety of hardware, such as video equipment or a robot arm.
The 3/16" aluminum deck has pre-drilled holes for mounting an additional
deck (1 extra deck & mounting hardware included with kit) to expand the
capabilities of this already versatile platform. With the included spacers,
the extra deck can be mounted 1" to 3" above the main deck, providing plenty
of space between the decks for your batteries and control electronics.
