Encoder, 56mm Gearbox Mount, Full kit

This encoder is designed and built specifically for our 56mm gearmotors. It mounts to the output shaft of the gearbox. All required mounting hardware and a cover is included.

It is a quadrature encoder, with two output signals. It can be used to monitor both speed and direction of rotation. Each signal is out of phase with the other, and depending on the direction of rotation, the signal will be either leading or lagging the other signal.

Our Encoder Divider kit greatly simplifies using the encoder. It converts the encoder outputs to a simple speed pulse and binary direction signal. It also aids in calibrating the encoder as well as providing power to it.
