  These gearboxes were designed by BaneBots with the help of Joe Johnson (AKA: Dr. Joe) specifically to meet the needs of FIRST and other demanding robotic drive systems.

They feature hardened carrier plates and massive all metal 0.8 module gears with an 11.5mm face. The fist stage is 4:1 and has 5 planet gears, the second stage is 3:1 and has 5 planet gears giving an overall reduction of 12:1.

A 4:1 second stage replacement is available, to increase this gear box's reduction from 12:1 to 16:1.  This gearbox can be mounted directly to a FIRST CIM motor, or used along with the 2-motor adapter for even more power.  See "Related Items" section below.
