This kit provides you with all the necessary hardware to add IR distance
sensing to your PC-controlled robot. Thanks to the Phidgets 8/8/8
interface kit, all you need is one USB port to read from 4 IR distance sensors!
You can arrange these sensors around the perimeter of your robot to give
it spatial perception.
But, that's not all! The 8/8/8 also has 8 digital
inputs and 8 digital outputs. The digital inputs are perfect for monitoring
bumper switches and input buttons. Digital outputs can be used to
drive LED's, relays, and other devices. You can also use the remaining
4 analog inputs for just about any 0-5V analog sensors.
Here's what's in the box:
Not enough sensors for you?
We also sell an 8-sensor version!

| If you were at Maker Faire 2007, you may
have already seen this kit in action. This interactive
display, controlled by our USB IR 8 sensor kit, was a big hit
with the kids. |
