This kit provides you with all the necessary hardware to add IR distance
sensing to your PC-controlled robot. Thanks to the Phidgets 8/8/8
interface kit, all you need is one USB port to read from 8 IR distance sensors!
You can arrange these sensors around the perimeter of your robot to give
it spatial perception.
But, that's not all! The 8/8/8 also has 8 digital
inputs and 8 digital outputs. The digital inputs are perfect for monitoring
bumper switches and input buttons. Digital outputs can be used to
drive LED's, relays, and other devices.

| If you were at Maker Faire 2007, you may
have already seen this kit in action. This interactive
display, controlled by our USB IR sensor kit, was a big hit
with the kids. |
