The PQ-CIB is a stand-alone closed-loop controller board fro Firgelli PQ12 actuators. Supported input signals include 4-20mA, 0-5V, RC/Hobby Servo Compatible, and 1kHz PWM. Each PQ-CIB will control one actuator using a software-based algorithm running on a PIC16F676 microcontroller. The microcontroller is socketed and also in-circuit user-programmable.
The PQ-CIB is initially configured as an "evaluation board" that includes a battery holder (four AAA cells) and a hand-operated linear slider that can be used to control the actuator for demonstration purposes. The PQ-CIB PCB can be cut or snapped along an inscribed perforation so as to remove and discard the batter holder and slider. The remaining PCB contains the embeddedable core controller circuitry for driving the PQ12 with an external control input and an external power supply. Jumpers J1 and J2 are used select between external control or on-bard slider control, and external battery power, respectively.
