This is a basic breakout shield for the GROVE modular electronics system. It plugs into any Arduino or Arduino-compatible microcontroller and provides handy 4-pin breakouts for all of the analog and digital I/O, I2C, SPI, UARTs, as well as pass-through headers for stacking more shields. 4-pin breakouts you say?! What is this madness?! Well, the new GROVE system switched from the older standard 3-pin 0.1" style headers to a 4-pin 2mm header. This allows for up to two digital or analog per cable, enabling you to daisy chain certain sensor modules and standardize your 4-pin I2C/SPI/UART connections. Still want to use 3-pin 0.1" modules? No problem! We stock a variety of cables that allow users to mix and match between the two styles. No problemo!
