    Hardware Features

    The AgileX R&D Kit is a fully integrated solution for robotics research and development. It is equipped with a full suite of sensors to support indoor SLAM, navigation, and vision-based applications. This basic package provides an Nvidia Jetson Nano computer pre-installed with Linux Ubuntu 18.04 & ROS Melodic. A WiFi module, Intel RealSense depth camera, EAI G4 LiDAR, & an LCD display.

    Compatible with the Scout Mini, Tracer, Scout 2.0, and Bunker.



    Software

    ROS - Robot Operating System (ROS or ros) is an open-source robotics middleware suite. Although ROS is not an operating system but a collection of software frameworks for robot software development, it provides services designed for a heterogeneous computer cluster such as hardware abstraction, low-level device control, implementation of commonly used functionality, message-passing between processes, and package management.

    Gazebo - Gazebo offers the ability to accurately and efficiently simulate populations of robots in complex indoor and outdoor environments. At your fingertips is a robust physics engine, high-quality graphics, and convenient programmatic and graphical interfaces. Best of all, Gazebo is free with a vibrant community. Gazebo simulation packages are provided.


    Simultaneous Localization & Mapping - SLAM can leverage sensors like lidars and depth cameras to construct a map of its environment while accurately tracking its own location. SLAM also comes pre-configured to work with three different packages including: AMCL, GMapping, and Cartographer.


    Navigation - Development tools include viz, Gazebo and Nomachine. Communication (Ros) nodes are provided for mapping and navigation.

    EAI-G4 LiDAR - Magnetic wireless technology and low-loss industrial design. Rotate 360-degree scanning distances measurement and 0.26-0.3° angular resolution. 5-12Hz scanning frequency and
    9000 times/S high-speed ranging 0.1-16m ranging radius.


    Portable 11.6 inch monitor - 11.6 Inch Monitor 480g/8mm ultra-thin 1920 X 1080 Resolution USB Type-C direct connection.


    Intel Realsense D435 stereo depth camera -
    The Intel® RealSense™ depth camera D435 is a stereo solution, offering quality depth for a variety of applications. It's wide field of view is perfect for applications such as robotics or augmented and virtual reality, where seeing as much of the scene as possible is vitally important. With a range up to 10m, this small form factor camera can be integrated into any solution with ease, and comes complete with our Intel RealSense SDK 2.0 and cross-platform support.
