The Unitree B1 robot boasts impressive stability even on rough terrain, can walk up and down the stairs with a step height of up to 20 cm, and the IP67 certification allows it to be used in any weather and even under water. The Unitree B1 is also equipped with 5 sets of depth cameras providing near spherical viewing angle. The GNSS acquisition, including GPS, BeiDou, and other navigation systems, as well as over-the-horizon communication allowing the robot to operate autonomously in places hardly accessible for people.

Mobile Manipulator Support

The Z1 arm from Unitree is a 6 axis mobile ready manipulator that was made for the B1 allowing the robot to interact with its environment. The Z1 arm comes in a 2kg and 3kg options, with a reach of 740mm and repeatability of ~0.1mm.

Hardware Capabilities

The Unitree B1 is equipped with 12 joints, 3 for each leg, powered by industrial-grade servo motors with a maximum torque of 210 Nm for knee joint motors.

Its force control technology allows dynamic characteristics and perfect balancing, allowing the dog to climb up and down the stairs with a maximum step height of 20 cm, and quickly regain stability in case of external impacts or falls. Due to its 12 DOF, the robot is capable of complex movements, such as jumps or backflips, and reaches the speed of 1,2 m/s.

The Unitree B1 can also work for up to 4 hours on a single battery charge. Due to its waterproof body, the robot supports fording depth of 1 meter which means it can be employed for under-water exploration.

IP67 Certificate & Large Load Capacity

The Unitree B1 is IP67 rated for protection against dust and water. The Unitree B1 can also reach a walking speed of 1.8 m/s. Its 4 legs with 12 joints ensure excellent stability on any terrain type, be it sand, grass, a gravel road, or a pile of stones. The knee joint motors have a torque of 210 Nm which allows the B1 to perform complex movements, such as backflips, as well as carry loads of up to 40 kg in the walking mode and up to 104 kg while standing. The body of the robot is highly resistant to water, dust, or impacts.
